Here you see the whole outfit with the bright blue top which I wore in last week’s post. I wore it again to the brocante market in Haarlem with Sylvia of 40+Style. It is an easy outfit. As I get older, I appreciate ease and comfort more and more. Still wearing the high heels and tighter dresses, but I am getting better in saying no to uncomfortable clothes and shoes. View Post
This week part two of What to wear at the Côte d’Azur. We were there for 6 days but I don’t have pictures of every outfit (to give Ron a rest, right?). Visiting Vence and Saint Paul de Vence I wore a trouser outfit with flat shoes. I am not able to walk on high heels sightseeing all day. And to me flat shoes means trousers. My friend Daniela of The Pretty Cute manages to wear skirts and dresses with flat shoes, looking adorable. My flat feet and low instep make a flat shoe less cute. View Post
Here we finally go, my holiday pictures. As I said, we “had” to go on holiday as our parquet floor got sanded and varnished, meaning: not entering the living room for 4 days. Why not turn this hitch into an opportunity and go to the south of France for 6 days? Which left me with the question: what to wear at the Côte d’Azur? I know what you are thinking: “Gosh, is that your “problem”? Must be hard to bare”… Yes, I agree, we are lucky bastards. View Post
My blog is strictly a hobby. Nothing commercial on it as I haven’t got the time nor need to deal with advertisements or sponsors. With this post I am going to make one exception. For my husband Ron, the man who takes the best pictures of me for this blog and finds the best backgrounds. That is fair, don’t you think? A little barter deal? Holiday pictures next week.
Ron has a small business in the summer, cruising Amsterdam by boat with paying clients. He also teaches them how to manoevre the motor boat and let his clients steer. Of course only if they want to. Children are always eager to steer the boat, but he has had some keen and even quite good adult co-captains as well. You can read all the information, prices and way to reserve a tour on his website: www.amsterdamboatcompany.com
You are about to see many photos of a boat tour we went on last weekend. This time not with paying guests but with friends. It will give you an idea.
As you can understand, when Sylvia of 40+Style is in The Netherlands we try to see as much of each other as we can (and my job allows). We like talking (a lot), taking pictures, shopping and visiting nice towns. Last Wednesday Sylvia and I went shopping in Alkmaar. An old town in the North-West part of Holland. And it did not disappoint. The gorgeous weather was a bonus.
