Xenia Walschikow jewelleryOh boy, that was a difficult day. I mean the day Sabine and I visited the Jewellery Art Fair 2017 (Sieraad Art Fair). We both had already spent all of our money. The last place we should be was at this jewellery fair. We were tempted so many times and we would have succumbed if it wasn’t for lack of time. I didn’t look at the information before going and wrongly assumed that two and a half hours would be enough. Enough for 120 jewellery stands/artists… NOT. All of a sudden it was time to leave and see Anke with her newborn daughter. At the end of this post you will see some photos of that visit, but first the jewellery temptations. View Post

Citytrip to ParisTrust me, there are days and weeks when nothing exciting happens. Just work, eating and sleeping. September and October though, were crazy months with lots of trips. As you know, Ron and I went to Maastricht for two days as we couldn’t go to Paris. A month later I went on a citytrip to Paris to meet Susan of Une Femme d’un certain âge. Our first encounter was two years ago when she visited Amsterdam with her husband. And we met in Paris last year as well. It is beginning to be a yearly event. Which I like as it is always nice meeting her. View Post

Isabel Marant necklaceThere it is, my Isabel Marant necklace, present from Ron when we were in Maastricht. It is such an unusual thing. The cream leather strings can move up and down and by doing so, the golden part in the middle will sit lower or higher on your body. I fell in love with it. As the jeweller (Clio) gave details about the necklace, in my mind I could see the price going up and up. Turned out it was affordable. I was ready to purchase when Ron beat me to it. View Post

Diane von Fürstenberg colour block tunicWhat are the odds of finding a Diane von Fürstenberg colour block tunic when you are looking for it at a second hand sale? Not too great I would say. Nevertheless I did. One of my friends whom I hadn’t seen for a year (terrible), got in touch and we decided to go to the Designer-Vintage Sale at the Amstel Hotel. Don’t think “ ah bargains” as the stuff might be second hand, but it still is designer stuff. I oogled the price tag of a pretty black bag: € 4.000, Chanel. I mean… really? Fortunately there were less dramatic prices too.  View Post

Red sweater and a green faux fur coatCatherine of Not Dressed as Lamb was in town. A blogger whom I have been following since 2012 and whom I met twice before. What to wear?? Would a red sweater and a green faux fur coat go together? These choices were practical. I needed something casual to go with sneakers as it was wet and very windy. I didn’t want to risk any of my lovely leather shoes in the rain. And the faux fur coat might not be an obvious choice (rain and hairy things??) but it has a hood. With the fierce wind an umbrella would be useless. That is how the outfit came together.  View Post
